A Grade II Listed complex of Farmhouse, Water Mill and Oast of archaeological importance in an AONB with a client whose challenging brief was to obtain Planning Permission for a contemporary indoor/outdoor swimming pool infill extension that links the Farmhouse to Water Mill. Working with the local authority and various heritage and archaeological stakeholders Lucy Wood Architects has lead the client step by step through a series of Planning stages to a point where the final striking scheme has been approved by the Local Authority.
The project also includes the refurbishment of the derelict Mill, a three storey building which will require sensitive and traditional detailing to allow it to be used by the family.
